BoJo is coming but what’s he bringing?

What is BoJo bringing to India other than Washington-approved script to lecture us on the Russian genocide in Ukraine, the demon Putin planning a false flag chemical attack, need for India to cut imports, including oil, from Russia and that the self-appointed western HR monitors are waiting in the wings to unleash deadly sanctions against India. Whew, this is so damn scary!!

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson aka BoJo is visiting India on April 21-22. He is scheduled to land in Gujarat on April 21 and then proceed to New Delhi. The Ukraine conflict and Russian oil are reportedly on his agenda; obviously to retain his position as Washington’s mascot and US President Joe Biden’s personal emissary.

UK’s Foreign Secretary Liz Truss’ who was in India on March 31; her second visit to the country as Foreign Secretary, following one in October 2021, and her third as Secretary of State in 13 months. Truss also parroted against India importing Russian oil like a trussed up dumb robot despite External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar saying that there was a ‘campaign’ to target India over buying Russian oil. To this, Truss responded by saying that Europe may be purchasing this oil now but countries have expressed serious intent to bring down their dependence on Russia – dumb-dee-dumb?

Truss would naturally not elaborate how this so-called “serious intent” will be executed – by begging Iran and Venezuela (both still under US sanctions), BoJo having failed in Saudi Arabia and the UAE as Biden’s errand boy to convince them to increase the oil output? She would also not admit that the US continues to import crude from Russia though Biden has got the oil firms digging afresh all over America.

BoJo has earned fame as Hero of the ‘Partygate’ in Britain. At the height of the controversy when speculation raised that Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the Exchequer, may replace him, he promptly initiated tax evasion proceedings against Sunak’s wife and for financial irregularities against Sunak. But now that BoJo and Rishi are both penalized for the Partygate, BoJo says Sunak can continue in his appointment as long as he wishes – booze makes bosom friends!

However, calls are continuing for BoJo and Sunak to quit for breaking lockdown rules. Junior justice minister David Wolfson resigned in disgust citing “repeated rule-breaking” and “breaches of criminal law” in Downing Street. Little wonder that with such examples, 48-year old British MP Ahmad Khan has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year old boy.

The US Secretary of State ranted about monitoring human rights (HR) at the joint press conference after the recent Indo-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue in Washington DC. So, in all probability BoJo will be singing the same song – ssshhh don’t mention the US-NATO human rights record which stinks like sewage in the gutter.

BoJo has earned another feather in his HR hat by announcing a one-way ticket for asylum seekers to Rwanda – a country UK severely criticized for HR violations in January 2021. It was so easy for BoJo to make Rwanda agree – just jingle the pockets of Paul Kagame, Rwanda’s President; same way Biden lured Sanna Marin and Magdalena Andersson, prime ministers of Finland and Sweden respectively to join the NATO club. The UNHCR has severely criticized BoJo’s decision to send asylum seekers to Rwanda, saying it will make matters worse. But the Biden administration is mum – after all how can HR apply to westerners?

BoJo visited Kiev recently perhaps to take a count of how many west-sponsored mercenaries and Special Forces operating in Ukraine have been killed, how many could escape from Mariupol, and what more should be pumped into Ukraine to make the war against Russia dirtier. French media reported that BoJo was surrounded by SAS troops in Kiev. Catherine Philp reporting from Kiev wrote in The Times on April 15, that two Ukraine battalions stationed in and around Kiev have been provided in situ training by serving SAS personnel.

Proclamations by Biden and BoJo not to commit troops on ground were naturally for consumption of western audiences. BoJo has promised tanks, anti-ship missiles and over US$1 billion help to Ukraine. Buoyed by the US-supported rise of the Nazis, Germany’s Olof Scholz has also promised over US$1 billion to Ukraine – after all, it is taxpayer’s money, not his.

Whew, this is so damn scary!!

However, if BoJo can use his grey matter other than for booze parties, he should examine why despite the India-UK Bilateral Extradition Treaty of 1993, India has been able to extradite only one fugitive from UK in 2016, whereas, India has extradited around 75 fugitives from 20 other countries and has reciprocated similarly? Are these fugitives filling up BoJo’s coffers or are they his pals?

Are these fugitives filling up BoJo’s coffers or are they his pals?

There are many Indian fugitives in the UK and the list of 14 was again provided to UK in January 2018. In February 2021, UK’s Home Secretary Priti Patel even signed the extradition order of Nirav Modi wanted for US$2 billion bank fraud in India. Surely, the BoJo administration has enough clout to not let the judiciary prolong extradition proceedings year after year.

BoJo could bring at least Nirav Modi, the other billionaire fraudster Vijay Mallya and millionaire fugitive Lalit Modi along with him to earn plenty of goodwill in India. BoJo is giving over US$1 billion to Ukraine. He obviously cannot return the US$45 trillion looted by the British from India, but it will be good if he extradites the Indian fugitives and renders an apology for the ‘Crawling Street’ in Amritsar, where the British ordered Indians to crawl through or get whipped just six months after World War I, where India contributed over 1.25 million soldiers. This will be a token regret to the British genocide in India.

BoJo should also bring with him the skull of Havildar Alum Beg to be given a decent burial in India after the British have gloated over it in a pub for the past one and a half century plus. Surely, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is not to only make money out of India.

BoJo’s visit to Kiev and partnering with the US to fuel the war in Ukraine against Russia is to resurrect himself from political demise following a string of allegations relating to a party colleague’s corruption and his own breaking of lockdown rules. This is being compared to Margaret Thatcher who used the 1982 Falkland Islands war against Argentina to boost her sinking approval ratings at home.

BoJo’s visit to India follows the successful completion of four out of 26 chapters in the ongoing India-UK free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Johnson are expected to take stock of the negotiations and mandate a timeline for the possible completion of the process

But in the instant case, BoJo and some other political figures have been forced by police to pay fines for breaking lockdown rules. Moreover, the global problem of rising prices, especially on energy with the Ukraine conflict, has led to millions in Britain seeing a 54 per cent bump.

Finally, by forcing BREXIT, BoJo has reduced the UK to an appendage of the US. That is why he is actively fuelling the war in Ukraine, seeking FTAs all over, running around as Biden’s emissary for oil and denouncing Russia. There is no reason for India to listen to his diatribe and advice on what is or is not in India’s interests.
