Revolting tantrums of trembling twits

Russian invasion of Ukraine 2022 (Source: Wikipedia)

Tantrums coming from a so-called diplomat is a direct threat, not a subtle one. And, so we see horrid visuals of Ukrainian police barring Indian nationals from crossing the border into Poland, the Ukrainian military firing in the air and kicking and manhandling Indian students, including girls. One Indian girl says she waited for two days at the border, has gone back tired and will try again

The West is ‘singed’ with the Russian invasion in Ukraine. In response to all the threats and boasts, in addition to a string of sanctions and massive forces posturing by The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Putin has placed Russia’s Deterrent Nuclear Forces on a special mode of combat duty. The West has gone shaky and hopping mad because of this. Naturally, no one will remember and question why after thoroughly flattening Japan, where was the need to nuke Hiroshima? And, after Hiroshima, why was another nuclear bomb dropped on Nagasaki within few days?

But this is about a twit named Sergiy Kyslytsya from Ukraine posted at the United Nations, who after India abstained from voting on the US-sponsored anti-Russia resolution, had the gumption to say, “It is exactly the safety of your nationals, why you should have voted Yes to end the war”. Coming from a so-called diplomat, it is a direct threat, not a subtle one. Same stories are coming from African nationals. So Sergiy Kyslytsya, the Twit, are you some white racist sitting in NATO’s lap with your comedian-President, who is spearheading the Catholic Crusade against Orthodox Russians on behest of Washington – slaves you are boy! More importantly, your country voted against India on every possible occasion at the United Nations. Besides, Ukraine has not only sided with Pakistan always but also exported 320 x T-80UD tanks to that country. With all this, what sort of ‘hostage’ threat are you talking about – you also a ‘terrorist twit’?

Igor Polikha, heading the Ukrainian embassy in New Delhi, is also “deeply dissatisfied” with India abstaining from the UNSC vote on the anti-Russia resolution. But have Kyslytsya and Polikha given a thought that when Polikha is out shopping in Delhi, some students, who were kicked and manhandled in Ukraine, could take a fancy for his backside? If your country has allowed itself to be played by the US and NATO, don’t vent your frustrations on India.

Same goes for the twits of the European Union (EU), who have allowed their economies, energy requirements and security to be held hostage by the US. The EU reportedly served a demarche to New Delhi just hours before the UNSC debated on a US-sponsored anti-Russia resolution, urging India to adopt a firm position on the crisis based on the “concept of rule of law”. Which rule of law twits?

The US also is urging India to use its influence with Russia to protect the “rule-based international order”. But where was the rule-based international order when the US invaded Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Grenada, Cuba, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, in addition to operations in Libya, Lebanon, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, Djibouti (without even Congressional approval, leave aside a United Nations mandate), as mentioned by an American analyst, who also points out US boots on ground (under guise of training and equipping) in Algeria, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia.

The European Union (EU) to-date has not said one word against the Chinese aggression in Eastern Ladakh during May-June 2020. Isn’t this because you are scared like hell that China will injure your economies? To top this, the EU has been running seminars on the Maoists insurgency in India and fanning unrest in the Maoist belt using individuals and NGOs. Isn’t it time for you ‘smart alecks’ to reflect?

In March 2014, Henry Kissinger wrote, “Far too often the Ukrainian issue is posed as a showdown: whether Ukraine joins the East or the West. But if Ukraine is to survive and thrive, it must not be either side’s outpost against the other — it should function as a bridge between them.” John Joseph Mearsheimer, eminent American political scientist and international relations scholar, advised on September 25, 2015 (just after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014) that Ukraine should have been kept as a neutral country between NATO and Russia, regretting that the US instead is propping up Ukraine, which will end up in destruction of that country. This is what the US has achieved.

Zelensky may not have heard but Sergiy Kyslytsya, Igor Polikha & Co would know that James Heappey, UK’s parliamentary under-secretary of state for the armed forces, said in Parliament, “We must all in this house be clear that British and NATO troops should not, must not, play an active role in Ukraine. We must all be clear what the risk of miscalculation could be and how existential that could very quickly become if people miscalculate and things escalate unnecessarily.” This has got even a former Japanese prime minister worried but the dumbos of Ukraine don’t understand the US-NATO game.

As and when a Russia-Ukraine ceasefire takes place, this will not be the end of story for the US-NATO; they will continue to destabilise the region while the US-NATO watch from the sidelines and boost their defence industries. The Catholics and Orthodox Russians can keep killing each other, in hundred as far as the US-NATO are concerned. For Washington, Ukraine is another playground like Iraq, even as Zelensky, or his successor, will in all probability continue the US-sponsored crusade.
